Batumi is the only one of the four directions where the sun sets into the sea: the ceremony is set straight to the light over the water.
Being further west, sunset arrives almost a quarter of an hour later than in Tbilisi, and the whole soft-light window moves with it — the day is timed to the local sunset.
And honestly about the limits: there are noticeably fewer good venues in Batumi than in Kakheti, the coastal weather is unstable, and summer is a dense tourist season — which shows in the dates, the prices and the city itself.

When to set the ceremony
Sunset matters not as the time of the ceremony but as the edge of the light. Two windows are counted from it: the soft colour a ceremony sits well in, and the golden hour we keep free for the shoot. Computed for the 15th of each month, local sunset.
The ceremony goes into the first window — roughly 3:30 to 1:00 before sunset. We have no «only at sunset» rule: that is a special case, not a script.
